Background
Prabhav is envisaged as an LP-GP (Limited Partner-General Partner) forum. The conference seeks to identify and debate issues that concern Impact Investors: LPs and GPs. The idea is to help the asset owners and asset managers forge a stronger working relationship and bring a greater, shared understanding of the latest trends in the Indian impact investing industry – risk-return tradeoffs, fund performance, social impact measurement, innovative financial tools, and other relevant issues.
LP-GP Meetings
The LP-GP meetings will help bring together leading Impact GPs, Indian and international LPs, to connect one-on-one on a fully interactive digital platform, transcending borders and time zones. The idea behind these meetings is to enable the exchange of thoughts and experiences. The LPs will get to pick the GPs out of listed 30-40 (with their bios). Only on the basis of common focus areas etc- these meetings will be scheduled.
IIC team will help facilitate and schedule the virtual meetings which will run from 5th Oct till 17th Oct (during the 5-days of the ‘India Impact Investing Week’ Prabhav 2020 and a week after that).
Rationale and Format of the meetings
The intention of the LP-GP meeting is to allow for informal interactions between LP and GPs to engage with each other. the format can be decided between the counterparties based on mutual convenience. In the past, the conversations have ranged from a complete pitch to just a conversation about the target sectors and investment thesis of the asset manager
At IIC we strive to widen the Impact Investing family. Prabhav2020 will provide a platform for the stakeholders to network and make meaningful connections virtually through meetings.
